CHENNAI - Steve Hodges, the 22-year old from Mumbai claimed a double and a second place to dominate the motor races in the JK Tyre Junior Cup here Sunday.

Hodges drove steadily to win the opening two races of the day and finished second in the days concluding race to move to 36 points on the leaderboard behind 15-year-old Vikash Anand (42 points). Meanwhile, K. Vinoth, who won both the races Saturday, is in third spot with 28 points.

Giving credit to his racing engineers, Hodges, the 22-year-old graduate, said: This was the main reason that I was able to win today. It is not about skill alone to get on top. It is a matter of coordinating the car and the skills.

Anand, a 10th standard student of the AMM School in Chennai said: I had driven in the same event last year. This year I am able to do better mainly because of the car set up.
