Tuesday night was an exciting one for the team members and fans of the Los Angeles Lakers. Jeanie Buss, the executive vice-president of Los Angeles Lakers, welcomed the champion players on Tuesday night and gave them diamond laden rings. David Stern, the commissioner of NBA accompanied Ms.Buss when she welcomed the players before the match against the Clippers team. Players, wearing the purple jackets, looked charged up for the impending match.

Nine former champions of the Lakers team had also come to the ground for welcoming the new champions of the team. Robert Horry, Magic Johnson and Jerry West were among the former players who had come to welcome the new players to the team. As stated by the sources, the former players who were present, represented the Lakers team that had won the championship earlier. It was an entertaining night for the team. Apart from the players, rings were given to the coach, assistant coaches and the training staffs of the team. Everyone had contributed towards the team’s victory and they were honored for their work. The new champions of the team had fetched the 15th NBA title.

Ring distribution ceremony was not the only occasion for the night. The Lakers also chose to release their 15th championship banner, amidst loud cheers from the crowd. Excitement of the celebration was kept intact, as the team started the game with Clippers. It had proved to be a close game and the Lakers [who were the host team] had given a tough fight to their opponents from Clippers.

Jeanie Buss‘ father, Jerry Buss [who is the owner of the Lakers team] was also present during the entire span of events for the night.
