Dodgers activate reliever Mota from disabled list

LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers have activated right-handed reliever Guillermo Mota from the disabled list.

Mota had been out since Aug. 30 with an ingrown toenail. He is 3-4 with a 3.34 ERA in 57 appearances this season for Los Angeles.

Dodgers manager Joe Torre also said Monday that left-hander Randy Wolf will start Tuesday night against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He missed his last turn in the rotation after hyperextending his elbow.

Left-hander Clayton Kershaw hopes to throw a simulated game during Los Angeles’ homestand this week before returning from a separated non-throwing shoulder.
