Tigers recall RHP Bonderman, 5 more from Triple-A

DETROIT — The Detroit Tigers recalled right-hander Jeremy Bonderman from his injury rehabilitation assignment at Triple-A Toledo and reinstated him from the disabled list on Tuesday.

The team also recalled five other players from the minors.

Bonderman had been on the 15-day disabled list because of soreness after shoulder surgery in the spring. Bonderman was 0-3 with a 5.79 ERA in 11 relief appearances in Toledo.

Detroit also recalled right-handers Eddie Bonine and Casey Fien, catcher Dusty Ryan and outfielder Wilkin Ramirez from Toledo and purchased the contract of shortstop Brent Dlugach.

To make room for Dlugach on the 40-man roster, the Tigers recalled infielder Michael Hollimon from Double-A Erie and placed him on the 60-day disabled list.
