Pirates agree to terms with 2 players

PHILADELPHIA — The Pittsburgh Pirates have agreed to terms with free agent catcher Dylan Child and right-hander Dovydas Neverauskas.

The moves were announced Saturday before the Pirates faced the Philadelphia Phillies.

Child, 18, is from Australia. He will begin his career at the Major League Baseball Academy in Australia.

Neverauskas, a 6-3, 170-pounder from Lithuania, will pitch in the Florida Instructional League program this fall and join the Pirates in spring training next year.
