Paes stays at sixth spot, Bhupathi eighth

September 14th, 2009 NEW YORK - India's Leander Paes with Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy staged a remarkable comeback to claim his 10th Grand Slam title, beating compatriot Mahesh Bhupathi and Mark Knowles of Bahamas 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 to win the US Open men's doubles final here. The 36-year-old Paes, who lost the mixed doubles final partnering Zimbabwean Cara Black, had hurt his elbow earlier in the tournament and was nursing a sore shoulder, arm and triceps Sunday.

September 13th, 2009 NEW YORK - India's Leander Paes and his Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy came back from a set down to win the US Open men's doubles title, their second Grand Slam title of the year. The fourth-seeded pair of Bhupathi and Knowles were stretched to three sets by Swede Johan Brunstrom and Dutch Jean-Julien Rojer before winning 7-5, 6-7(4), 7-6(3) in nearly two and a half hours.
