Vodafone customers will be able to browse the internet and pick up emails on their mobiles for free all day on Friday 28 August. The normal 50p daily flat rate will be waived from 12.01am to 23.59pm on Friday.
Vodafone’s Free Friday will be the perfect way for customers to plan their Bank Holiday, whether checking the weather forecast whilst on the train, organising get-togethers with friends on Facebook, or browsing travel updates whilst waiting for the bus. Customers can browse the internet on a wide range of Vodafone mobiles from AA Route planner, BBC Weather, train timetables and city guides, to Facebook, YouTube and eBay. They can also check webmail accounts such as Windows Live Hotmail, Yahoo!, AOL or Google Mail.
Customers don’t need to do anything to qualify for Free Friday, just simply click on the Vodafone live! or the browser icon in the menu of their phone to get started on the day. It’s easy to get started and personalise your mobile internet experience simply by setting up My Page by texting ‘web’ to 2888 - the service that lets you pick and choose your internet favourites. Or you could send links to the sites you visit most often straight to your phone by logging on to www.vodafone.co.uk/getmore
Mobile Internet usually just 50p per day
Millions of customers who use pay as you go or don’t have an internet pack on their monthly plan can access the mobile internet using Vodafone’s fast and reliable network at a 50p daily flat rate. This gives customers 25MB of data which lets you do all this at the equivalent price of just 2p/MB:
