TORRANCE, California - Trident Space & Defense has opened a European Office in Fareham, UK, to provide program management, engineering and customer support for its European customers, as well as increasing its ability to source European manufactured components.

Trident, formerly TRW Components International Inc., was established in 1976 as a subsidiary of TRW Inc., now Northrop Grumman Corporation, and has successfully provided parts and engineering solutions for space, military and industrial markets worldwide for over 33 years. Trident was acquired by Admiralty Partners, Inc. in March 2007 and is composed of three operating units. The EEE Space Electronic Components business unit is a supplier of high reliability electronic components and design support services. The Advanced Products business unit designs and manufactures advanced custom multi-chip modules, dense systems-in-a-package solutions and Solid State Disk Drives intended for ruggedized applications. The Ground Systems business unit supplies engineering services, specializing in design, development and integration services, launch support and satellite telemetry, tracking and control systems.
Mr. Geoffrey Penhaligon will be Trident’s Director of European Operations and will manage the Fareham office. He will be assisted by Ms. Kim Budd, Program Manager and Ms. Donna Calderwood, Program Assistant. All three new members of the Trident team come from IGG Components Technology Ltd., and most recently, Alter Technology Group’s UK Division. They have over 30 years of extensive knowledge and experience in the space, military and industrial markets. Mr. Penhaligon’s professional background and experience will further enhance Trident’s excellent customer service reputation, as well as market expansion throughout the European Union.
