OXFORD, England - The Oxford College of Marketing has long been recognised as the leading provider of Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) courses. The College began in Oxford and has expanded over a number of years to offer centres in London, Reading, Liverpool, Sheffield, Gatwick, Brighton, Milton Keynes, Croydon, High Wycombe, Birmingham and now Uxbridge.
The Oxford College of Marketing is already receiving enquiries from marketing professionals living and working in Uxbridge and beyond such as Wembley, Slough, Denham, Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield, Ealing, Heathrow, Staines, Northolt, Ruislip and Windsor.
The college will hold a formal opening of the new centre and the launch of the new CIM Qualifications on the 9th June at 6.00 - 8.30pm in Uxbridge at the Hillingdon Civic Centre as the Bucks New University is currently being refurbished.
Rosie Phipps, Principal and Founder of the Oxford College of Marketing said:
“To mark the start of our 12th anniversary, I am delighted to open a centre of the Oxford College of Marketing in Uxbridge, a thriving area with an excellent business community. It is precisely for this reason that we saw the need to deliver our high-quality CIM accredited courses here at the Bucks New University in Oxford Road, a location which is readily accessible to the many organisations which operate in the city and the surrounding areas.
“In the current economic climate it is essential that marketing employees have the right skills and knowledge to safeguard their organisation’s place in the market. Our courses in Uxbridge are delivered as part-time evening courses, but students can also attend intensive weekend programmes or distance learning to minimise disruption to the working day and facilitate focused learning time.”
Oxford College of Marketing tutors are highly trained and experienced, and provide both excellent materials and individual support to students, which is why the Oxford College of Marketing enjoys such a high pass rate (currently 87%). With the withdrawal of funding for professional courses, many further education colleges have now stopped running CIM courses.
CIM courses are available for every stage of a marketing career: from the Introductory Certificate in Marketing, Diploma in Marketing and Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing through to the Chartered Marketer programme.
Vic Davies Senior Lecturer and Course Leader at Bucks New University, welcomes the new courses offered by OCOM. “We are always seeking to improve the quality and relevance of our service to students and the business community. Part of this is working in partnership with organisations who share the same concerns for the quality of education provision. That’s why we have formed a partnership with the Oxford College of Marketing to provide part time Chartered Institute of Marketing courses at our Wycombe and Uxbridge campuses. It has a proven track record in teaching achievement, and a student centric approach that reflects our own values.”
At the launch Oxford College of Marketing will explain the NEW entry requirements and syllabus. Attendees will have an opportunity to discuss the courses, and their study options to progress their professional careers, with experienced tutors who have wide experience as both Marketing Practitioners and lecturers.
As Gill Evans, Vice Principal says, “Studying for CIM Professional Qualifications gives companies a competitive edge by ensuring their employees’ marketing skills are up to date and relevant in today’s challenging economic climate. From an individual perspective, it is an investment which will enhance their future career path as a Professional Marketer.”
The launch event will run from 6 p.m. onwards - light refreshments will be provided. Spaces are limited - so contact Oxford College of Marketing today to reserve places and receive venue details - +44-1865-515255 or email janey@oxfordcollegeofmarketing.ac.uk
