According to The New Economy’s editor Jan Spiegel, who chaired the panel overseeing the awards, “This was exciting to be a part of. Discussions were conducted at length here in our offices, via email and over the telephone with our contributors from around the world.
“The decisions were not always easy to make, but the process of making them was certainly rewarding - and not a little arduous. Ultimately though, the process has been hugely valuable for everybody involved.”
