AXIS and XL Sign Indonesia's First National Roaming Agreement

Indonesian Mobile Market to Become Even More Dynamic and Competitive

JAKARTA, Indonesia, November 12 - AXIS and PT Excelcomindo Pratama Tbk (XL) have today signed a
Memorandum of Understanding for national roaming, the first such agreement of
its kind in the region. The technical implementation of this agreement will
follow regulation determined by the Indonesian regulator. Similar to other
partnership formed among mobile operators, the regulator has also supported
this partnership initiative led by AXIS and XL. The agreement will give AXIS'
customers full access to XL's network in Sumatera, followed by Kalimantan and
Sulawesi. AXIS will maintain control of its own customers throughout,
regardless of whether or not they roam onto XL's network infrastructure.

The Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP, www.garp.org) today announced that its Financial Risk Manager (FRM(R)) program registered 22,854 certification candidates as of the close of its standard registration period ended August 31, 2009. This represents a 70% increase from the number of FRM candidates registered to take the exam at this time a year ago. Registration closes on October 15th.

JAKARTA, Indonesia - The heads of state and government from six countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, Papua New Guinea (PNG), Solomon Island, and Timor Leste, officially signed a Coral Triangle Initiative (CTI) Leaders’ Declaration on Friday, May 15, 2009, in Manado. In addition to the Declaration, in the opening of the CTI Summit, all heads of state or government also agreed to formally launch a program on Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries and Food Securities and Adaptation to Climate Change (CTI-CFFC), and by acclamation stated to adopt a Regional Plan of Action (RPOA).
