- FollowMe Embedded Offers Fully Integrated Solution for Secure Output Management
Ringdale Inc. today announced the release of FollowMe(R) Embedded for Lexmark, a fully integrated version of FollowMe Printing, the industry standard secure document output management solution that provides complete control and accounting capabilities for copying, printing, e-mailing, faxing and scanning on Lexmark printers and multifunction products (MFPs).
Ringdale’s FollowMe, an all-in-one solution composed of FollowMe Printing (pull printing), print roaming and accountability, enables organizations to control access to documents and effectively manage and report user activity. Through its superior business intelligence engine which offers policy and rules-based printing functionality, FollowMe contributes to organizations’ efforts to “save more and print less” by significantly reducing toner and paper use, controlling color output and enforcing other printing policies such as full duplex.
Using the Lexmark MFP’s integrated front panel, the FollowMe Embedded for Lexmark solution enables users to walk up to any networked device and securely release their print jobs utilizing a user-specific PIN number or Windows(R) username and password. An extensive range of identification devices can also be used for alternative or dual authentication, such as RFID based proximity cards, contact smart cards, magnetic swipe cards, barcodes and biometrics via fingerprint readers.
“Our FollowMe Embedded technology allows Lexmark customers to benefit from color device capabilities while controlling and saving costs through enterprise-wide policy enforcement,” said Klaus Bollmann, Ringdale chief executive officer. “Organizations managing their print services can enjoy maximum functionality from Lexmark printers and MFPs in conjunction with the FollowMe Embedded solution.”
The FollowMe Embedded for Lexmark solution is currently available. For ordering information, call Ringdale in the United States at +1-512-288-9080 or in the United Kingdom at +44(0)1444-871349.
