- Invest UK Conference Programme Launch
Invest UK, the new virtual event from Property Week focusing on buying, selling and developing property in the UK, has just launched its full conference programme. To attend, delegates must register - for free - online at www.investukevent.com/launch.
Now confirmed on the conference programme are Rhodri Morgan, first minister of the National Assembly of Wales, Brian Shaw, managing director, business, UK Trade & Investment and Dan Labbad, chief executive, Lend Lease Europe. This is in addition to Sir Howard Bernstein, chief executive, Manchester City Council and Peter Bennett, city surveyor, City of London Corporation who were confirmed earlier this month.
Invest UK goes live on the 13 October 2009 and will be a unique networking event for investors, developers and occupiers. In association with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), it will contain video interviews and live and interactive debate on key issues in property investment, looking at investment strategies for the nation’s big cities and how to capitalise on the recovering market.
The event takes place entirely online, on the day delegates just need to log in from their computer from anywhere in the world.
The event will consist of a 2 day conference with presentations from key industry players and central government as well as live and interactive Q&A sessions; an exhibition featuring over 20 relevant exhibitors and a networking lounge where attendees can chat online to each other about topics affecting the industry.
Round table sessions will cover topics including an investor’s perspective on understanding the opportunities for inward investment in the UK featuring Lend Lease Europe, Savills, One NorthEast and Quintain Estates & Development Plc. As well as an occupier focus on relocating to different regions in the UK featuring DHL and Nokia UK Ltd.
