TORONTO - Redknee (TSX:RKN), a leading provider of business-critical billing and charging software and solutions for communications service providers, announced the general availability version of Real-Time Turnkey Converged Billing (TCB) 8.1. Redknee is pleased to announce that six operators are already in the process of installing or upgrading to TCB 8.1, and will be benefiting from the ability to converge multiple services onto one billing platform - reducing overhead costs and providing them with the ability to launch flexible pricing plans and targeted service offerings to their subscriber base.
Among the latest key enhancements to TCB is the ability for operators offering triple and quad-play offerings (including wireless, wireline, satellite and broadband technologies) to support everything from one billing platform; enabling faster time-to-market, increased network visibility and lower support costs. Additionally, TCB’s enhanced unified rating engine and integrated bundle and balance management tools enable operators to create and launch highly targeted promotions quickly with a web based GUI (Graphical User Interface). Since all the services are being managed through one platform, specially priced cross-service ‘bundles’ can be created - generating increased usage by the subscriber, and more revenue for the operator.
Redknee’s CEO Lucas Skoczkowski commented:
“We are very excited about Redknee’s latest release of Turnkey Converged Billing. TCB helps operators achieve the next level in monetizing the value of their networks by providing them with more choices in how they launch and price their services, along with increased configurability of the features, and reduced time to market. With Redknee’s software, customers are achieving unmatched savings in OPEX, increased revenue through real-time marketing promotions and cross-service bundles, and enhanced self-care capabilities for both subscribers and distributors. Redknee is dedicated to innovation that helps our customers remain ahead of their competition, while allowing them to stay focused on running their business and keeping their subscribers happy.”
Redknee’s award-winning TCB is a complete billing and customer care solution that delivers centralized business intelligence and a full suite of billing capabilities to operators around the globe. The solution extends beyond traditional billing and functions as a merchandising platform that optimizes and improves the overall subscriber service experience. As a result, network operators can better manage partner relationships, quickly roll out new services and deliver targeted, real-time promotions to their subscribers. Its real-time rating and charging capabilities enable operators to process all payment types from a single platform - prepaid, postpaid and hybrid accounts can all be managed with ease. From activation and provisioning, to real time rating, billing, invoicing, partner management, mobile money services, and full customer care capabilities, TCB expertly addresses the needs of network operators throughout the world’s high growth markets.
