MAASTRICHT, The Netherlands -
- Q-Park Liverpool ONE ‘Champions of Europe’
The 2000-space car park that opened in 2008 was chosen to be winner by the European Parking Association (EPA), for its first class innovative design, ultra modern feel and light airy atmosphere. The high profile awards ceremony was held at the EPA congress in Vienna, Austria and the Liverpool ONE parking destination was praised for its high ceilings and striking spiral staircase topped by an eye catching glass dome which lets in plenty of natural light; a huge architectural achievement.
Q-Park Great Britain Managing Director Adam Bidder: “I could not be more passionate about this winning parking destination and it is great that its beauty, safety and convenience have been recognised and appreciated on a European scale. Car parks have frequently been criticised for not providing quality facilities which customers deserve. This award demonstrates that Q-Park is leading the way in setting a new benchmark for quality in parking not only in Britain but across Europe”.
Liverpool ONE’s estate director Chris Bliss: “We are immensely proud of the partnership between Q-Park and Liverpool ONE. From concept, Liverpool ONE and Grosvenor set incredibly high standards for every aspect of the architecture, materials and design, the car parks being as every bit as important as other areas. We are delighted Q-Park and Liverpool ONE have been recognised in this way as the award highlights the determination of this ambitious development to succeed at all levels.”
