NEW YORK and LONDON - Pomona Capital, a leading global private equity firm, today announced the appointment of Oliver Gardey as a Partner. Based in London, Oliver will be responsible for Pomona’s business in Europe.

Mr. Gardey spent the last 6 years at Adams Street where he was a Partner and began the effort to establish Adams Street as one of the global buyers of secondary assets. He was responsible for all aspects of the secondary investment business including sourcing, evaluating, executing and monitoring investment opportunities. In addition, he managed a team of seven professionals and also worked on primary investments in the European buyout sector.

Prior to joining Adams Street, Oliver gained extensive private equity experience at Smedvig Capital, a family office, NM Rothschild & Sons and Whitney & Co. Mr. Gardey graduated from Brown University and earned an MBA from Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration.
