Noront Resources Ltd. (”Noront” or the “Company”) (TSX Venture: NOT) announces that pursuant to the Company’s Stock Option Plan and subject to any regulatory approvals, it has granted 3,865,000 Stock Options set at Cdn.$0.62 for a period of five years (2014) to new and existing employees and consultants of the Company. These Stock Options have a three year vesting period. None of these Stock Options were granted to the existing Members of the Board of Directors.
Effective June 29, 2009 Joanne C. Jobin joins the Company as Vice President, Corporate Communications, in this capacity she will also serve as Corporate Secretary, be responsible for all Investor Relations initiatives and all office administration for Noront. Ms. Jobin began her career in the investor relations industry with Barrick Gold in 1986, where she helped to develop its early investor relations and corporate communications programs. Ms. Jobin has worked in the natural resources sector and managed the investor relations and communications programs for a number of large publicly traded companies including J.P. Morgan & Co., Canadian Tire Corporation, HEPCOE Credit Union and she was also Director of Investor Relations for IAMGOLD Corporation. She is the co-founder of The F.I.R.M. a company focused on investor relations marketing for public companies with interests in the natural resource sectors.
