Light Reading's Policy Control & DPI Virtual Tradeshow debuted on Tuesday with the industry's leading policy control experts, more than 600 attendees, and 9 sponsors
NEW YORK, November 19 - Light Reading (www.lightreading.com), the leading online publication for
the telecom industry, and Heavy Reading (www.heavyreading.com), its
prestigious market research division, produced the Policy Control & Deep
Packet Inspection Virtual Tradeshow on November 17, with 1,216 registrants,
611 attendees, and 9 sponsors.
Heavy Reading's leading policy control experts moderated the Virtual
Tradeshow conference sessions, led by Conference Chair and Heavy Reading
Chief Analyst Graham Finnie, with participation from Senior Analyst Patrick
Donegan. The Policy Control & DPI Virtual Tradeshow was designed to ensure
high-quality communication across all segments of the value chain. The show
focused not just on technology options, but also encouraged discussion and
debate on what real value these tools can bring to network operators and
service providers, focusing especially on the value they can add to broadband
service packages. The Policy Control & DPI Virtual Tradeshow built off of
Light Reading's Policy Control, DPI & the Mobile Broadband Revolution live
event held earlier this year at CTIA.
Policy Control & DPI Virtual Tradeshow sponsors included Platinum Sponsor
Allot Communications; Gold Sponsors Camiant, Continuous Computing, and
Volubill; and Bronze Sponsors BroadHop, ComAbility, LSI, Openet, and Procera.
The Virtual Tradeshow was promoted extensively via Light Reading's network of
300,000 unique visitors. With a registration goal of 1,000 registrants, the
Policy Control & DPI Virtual Tradeshow surpassed goals with more than 1,200
registrants from 70 different countries.
"In today's environment with travel budgets under constant pressure, the
virtual trade show format proved a hit with sponsors and attendees," said
Conference Chair Finnie. "Panel discussions were lively with plenty of debate
and questions from the virtual audience on topics ranging from net neutrality
to the role of policy in customizing service packages."
"We could produce the largest virtual conference in the policy control
and DPI market because of our emphasis on quality content led by Heavy
Reading analysts, and the fact Light Reading is by far the largest and most
influential online site in the worldwide communications industry," said Joe
Braue, Light Reading SVP and Group Director.
The Policy Control & DPI Virtual Tradeshow, which took place from 9 a.m.
to 5 p.m. ET, included all the elements of a live event and more, such as an
auditorium with three different panel sessions, one keynote session, live
Q&A, and chat/networking sessions in the virtual lounge after each panel and
keynote with participation from Light Reading editors, Heavy Reading
analysts, and attendees. Additionally, exhibitor booths with downloadable
materials were on the Virtual Tradeshow floor with chat features allowing
suppliers and buyers to interact.
The Policy Control & DPI Virtual Tradeshow will be archived here on
Friday, November 20: www.lightreading.com/virtualdpi.
