LAKE FOREST, California -
- Global Chain Opens Restaurant at Ramstein Air Force Base
International restaurant chain Johnny Rockets announces its newest overseas location in the airport of United States Air Force Base, Ramstein, in Southern Germany. Residents of the Kaiserslautern Military Community will welcome the food, fun and friendliness of Johnny Rockets feel-good Americana, Sept. 21. The Grand Opening celebration will include a live band, dance club, lessons for children and the classic American menu offerings for which Johnny Rockets is known.
The Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) chose Johnny Rockets for its definitively American food, sights and sounds. “We selected Johnny Rockets because it offers a culture of guest-centered service, great-tasting food and a genuine stateside atmosphere,” said Michael L. Sitrin, AAFES - KMCC Food Court Manager. “The airport terminal is the main entry point for all U.S. military members flying back from Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, so what better way to welcome them back than a grilled-to-order hamburger, American fries and a hand-dipped shake?”
The new Ramstein restaurant is the second Johnny Rockets to be located on a military base. The first was at Camp Pendleton, in Southern California, which opened earlier, this year. Considering their universal appeal, simple business plan and flexible footprint, the chain plans to open many more military and civilian locations, across the globe, within the next few years.
“We are proud to bring the all-American Johnny Rockets experience to the 53,000 U.S. military family members who live in the Ramstein area,” said Steve Devine, Senior Vice President of International Development for Johnny Rockets. “Our brand is one that boasts universal appeal and that translates beautifully around the world. In fact, we opened more than forty new Franchised restaurants, last year, and will end 2009 with close to fifty more.”
As Johnny Rockets continues to expand their international reach and appeal through Franchising, they are quickly becoming an enduring example of American innovation and culture.
Johnny Rockets is proactively seeking franchising partners around the world. For more information, go to www.johnnyrockets.com or email Steve Devine directly at sdevine@johnnyrockets.com.
