YORK, England - Varlink, the York based mobile computing and data capture specialist distributor, will offer Janam’s XG100, the new Windows CE 6.0, rugged IP64 gun-shaped mobile computer that scans barcodes and communicates wirelessly. The addition of the XG100 augments Janam’s line of rugged PDA-style mobile computers. Varlink carries the full range of Janam’s rugged mobile computers to cover almost any barcode-based application within the four walls of the enterprise.
Janam’s XG100 was designed specifically for scan-intensive, extended shift use in warehouses, distribution centres, loading docks and other demanding environments. The XG100 is the only rugged gun-shaped mobile computer with its battery positioned inside the pistol grip. This lowers the product’s centre of gravity and makes it light and balanced in the hand which maximises worker comfort and productivity.
Mike Pullon, Varlink MD, commented “The Janam range has already been well received within our VAR community and we are very excited about the addition of Janam’s XG100 to our product portfolio. The XG100 has a number of unique features. Not only is its battery located in the pistol grip, which makes the device feel so light and easy to use, but the XG100 also has a vibrating handle for feedback in noisy environments. We expect the XG100 to be extremely popular with our resellers because it offers high performance and quality at the right price”.
