On Sunday, October 18, 2009, Good News Tommy is releasing a new kids music album called “The Singing Reporter - September 2009.” The album will be digitally released worldwide via Amazon.com and it will feature four brand new kid songs that address current events making newspaper headlines, including songs about The Beatles, the Kennedys, and Halloween.
After last month’s successful worldwide launch of Good News Tommy as an exciting, new voice in kids music with the single “Michael The Kid (A Tribute To Michael Jackson),” he follows it up with another timely release, a brand new children’s album called “The Singing Reporter - September 2009.” The album is being digitally released worldwide via Amazon.com kid music download store Sunday, October 18th and it will be the first in what will become a new monthly series of kids songs, featuring Good News Tommy as “The Singing Reporter.”
Good News Tommy is a new, independent kids music recording artist, featuring New York singer, songwriter and producer Tom Radd.
“My goal with this project is to help make news and history exciting and fun for children of all ages,” said Tom Radd. He also added: “For me, each song I perform as The Singing Reporter is just a starting point for a deeper discussion that would ideally take place in the classroom or around the dinner table.”
Of the four songs featured on Good News Tommy’s new kid music album, “The Singing Reporter - September 2009,” the one that is sure to receive the most attention is the children’s lullaby about The Beatles, called: “The Ballad Of The Beatles.”
Tom says: “I can’t help but love the Star Trek references in the first verse. This is just a fun song that looks forward to celebrating Halloween at an amusement park.” As reported by the Associated Press and The Denver Post on September 28th, “Eighty-one percent of amusement parks will hold Halloween or fall themed events this year, according to the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions.”
