He was seen at a Milan match with Avram Grant, the Israeli coach who has also led the Chelsea squad.
“Betar Jerusalem is an incredible team and a legendary brand,” Aguiar said, “I’m honored to serve as their goodwill ambassador. I have made significant progress this week introducing Betar to some of the biggest names in international sport, emphasizing Jerusalem’s amazing role as a center of history, culture and sport.”
“One highlight of the week for me was a get-together with the living legend Ronaldino, the president of AC Milan and the owner of Real Madrid,” Aguiar recounted.
His recent investment in Betar and Hapoel (basketball champions) has instantly turned Aguiar into one of Israel’s best-known public figures, beloved by sports fans for injecting new life into an already passionate Israel sports scene. Aguiar is also known as a generous philanthropist ensuring his personal resources support a wide variety of causes in Israel and around the world. He serves as the Founder and CEO of Leor Energy and is responsible for discovering one of the world’s largest deposits of natural gas in East Texas.
