Global Strategies Group (GLOBAL) has further strengthened its worldwide senior management team as it continues to grow its Integrated Security line of business for clients operating in challenging environments. The move demonstrates the Group’s commitment to the delivery of world-class integrated security solutions alongside the significant capability of its defence technology line of business.
The introduction of John Hassoun, Chief Executive Officer of the Integrated Security Line of Business; George Diab, Managing Director of Middle East & Africa; Mark Skinner, President of Integrated Security in the United States and Ted Timberlake, Vice President, General Counsel and Director of Contracts of Integrated Security in the United States, brings a new depth of experience to the Group. Together they will work to implement the strategic priorities of the line of business, optimize new business opportunities, and grow into new markets and with new clients. Mr. Hassoun will provide strategic and operational leadership and oversight for all commercial activities carried out across the Integrated Security Line of Business within GLOBAL. John brings tremendous depth of experience, having previously served as a Chief Executive Officer in the security industry and prior to that he held numerous leadership positions with Veridian Corporation and was the Vice President/General Manager for Engineering Development and Integration Services with General Dynamics. John began his career working in the US Air Force.
Mr. Diab joins GLOBAL as Managing Director of the Middle East & Africa Strategic Business Unit, headquartered in Dubai, UAE. George brings significant technical and international expertise to GLOBAL with over 30 years of experience managing large systems integration projects across the defence, energy, aviation and telecommunications sectors, holding senior roles in companies such as Honeywell, Eaton Corporation, General Electric and General Dynamics and working around the world to implement projects in places such as North America, Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, the Middle East and beyond.
Mr. Skinner, President of Integrated Security in the United States, provides operational leadership and oversight for all commercial, corporate and financial activities carried out within the US Strategic Business Unit. Mark joins GLOBAL from the National Security Division of USIS where he was Vice President, Business Development. Prior to USIS, Mark served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for EAI Corporation and directed all system integrator alliances for the government sector on a worldwide basis for Adobe Systems Incorporated. He is based at the GLOBAL office in McLean, Virginia.
Mr. Timberlake joins GLOBAL as Vice President, General Counsel and Director of Contracts - Integrated Security, in the United States Strategic Business Unit, based in McLean, Virginia. Ted is responsible for providing legal advice, counsel and management in connection with all legal aspects of business operations and transactions in support of efforts for the Integrated Security line of business. Ted has over 26 years of experience in federal government engineering and technical services, systems engineering and integration, integrated security and information technology contracting and has worked as an in-house legal counsel for billion-dollar defence and intelligence companies.
Mr. Dale Davis, formerly the Managing Director in Middle East & Africa for the Group for more than three years, will transition to the role of Commercial Director - Integrated Security. In this role, Dale will bring to bear his significant expertise and experience in the Group to work across the entire Integrated Security Line of Business to ensure that GLOBAL is focused on optimizing the efforts of the business development team and delivering the best solutions to potential clients in the right place and at the right time. Similarly, Chris Humphrey, Managing Director of the Integrated Security Strategic Business Unit in Asia Pacific will continue to manage and develop client relationships and create new business opportunities in this critical region.
