- The Leading Luxury Shirt Brand Reveals Tripartite Womenswear Push
- With Photo
Thomas Pink is set to unveil exciting plans for Q4 2009 in order to build on the success of its reworked womenswear offering.
Thomas Pink’s focus on growing the womenswear business will capitalise on three key assets:
1: The appointment of leading womenswear design talent
Design talent and Fashion Fringe finalist, Louise Markey joined Thomas Pink as the senior womenswear designer towards the end of 2008. Since then she has become a key part of the design team, leading the expansion of the brand’s womenswear offering.
Louise’s first fully designed womenswear collection (Autumn/Winter 2009) for Thomas Pink dropped in store from August 2009 and is already proving highly popular.
Having completed her first full collection for Thomas Pink, Louise is now working on Spring Summer 2010.
2: Autumn/Winter 2009 Womenswear Collection
The Autumn/Winter 2009 collection, inspired by military and vintage themes and replete with soft textures and archive prints, means that women can create a full look from Thomas Pink in both classic and on trend styles for the first time.
In store from August 2009, a fashion forward collection sits alongside a variety of cleverly reworked classics- a highlight of which is the introduction of a capsule collection of beautifully designed white shirts. Each shirt has ‘The White Collection’ printed in vintage script on the inside of the collar and incorporates attractive archival details.
Considerable time and expertise has also been spent perfecting the fit and cut of the Thomas Pink women’s blocks. The Autumn/Winter 2009 collection heralds the introduction of a redesign of the women’s Classic and Slimfit blocks to ensure the perfect fit. The Slimfit is designed to suit a more slender figure whilst still flattering curves and is available in stretch and non-stretch styles. Designs include classic plains and stripes using fine Italian shirting fabrics.
3. Innovative new womenswear store concept
From September 2009, Thomas Pink will unveil a new women’s concept, dramatically changing the existing womenswear space in the brand’s Jermyn Street and Harrods stores.
Designed by leading San Francisco-based architect and interiors specialists, Brand+Allen, the new layout has been designed to offer female customers a luxurious, visually inspiring yet easy to navigate environment.
This new format is the third part in Thomas Pink’s commitment to womenswear and, following the success of the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2009 Collection, will be used to best showcase current and future collections.
CEO, Jonathan Heilbron, concludes:
“Our goals for the womenswear business are about improving the product and brand fit. It’s about getting exactly the right product for today’s woman.
For Autumn/Winter 2009, a fashion forward collection sits alongside a variety of cleverly re-worked classics.
Our new womenswear concept is designed to offer female customers a luxurious, visually inspiring environment with its own bespoke scent and music.”
