DONGYING, China -
CNPV (NYSE Euronext: ALCNP), a leading multi-product solar company, today announced that ICIM/Euro Test Lab, Italy has awarded the International Electro Technical Commission (IEC) certification to the company’s premium photovoltaic modules series with power ranging from 190Wp to 200Wp made with high efficiency 125×125mm mono crystalline cells. The premium module series was recently launched and displayed at the 24th EUPVSEC held in Hamburg, Germany. CNPV has, so far, shipped out 8MWp of these premium modules to key customers in Germany, France, Belgium, and Czech Republic for rooftop applications.

The new 72-cell premium module series features large area, high-efficiency mono crystalline silicon solar cells, anti-reflection coated glass and high conductivity interconnected materials. The larger diameter (165mm) of the cells compared to the standard (150mm) with their high conversion efficiencies (17.5%) outperform the industry average by 8%. The anti-reflection coated glass ensures 93% transmittance at STC level and provides an additional 3% performance at field level installations. The use of soft, ductile and high-conductivity interconnected ribbons ensures minimal resistive power losses both at standard testing and field levels.
The premium module series is backed by CNPV’s 25-year power output and 10-year product workmanship warranty. The modules in the series have received IEC 5400Pa certification verifying their ability to withstand high wind pressure and heavy snow load. The premium modules are in production and are available at 190Wp to 195Wp power rating. CNPV markets the modules with the classification CNPV-175M to CNPV-185M as standard series and CNPV-190M to CNPV-200M as its premium series.
B. Veerraju Chaudary, CNPV’s Chief Technology Officer, said, “CNPV is the first in its field to attain IEC certification for and begin sale of this class of modules series. This is a tremendous achievement for CNPV and clearly demonstrates the power and versatility of the premium module series technology. The premium modules series development is part of CNPV’s extensive R&D program dedicated to continuously improving module efficiency.”
“The IEC61215 Ed2 & IEC61730 certifications confirm CNPV’s high performance crystalline solar photovoltaic premium module design and manufacturing processes adhere to the commission’s stringent requirements for functional, mechanical and safety capabilities for long-term performance operation under open air environments, and validate our improvements in manufacturing standards and process efficiencies and our commitments to operating performance, safety and stability,” said jointly Mr. Zhang Shunfu, CEO & B. Veerraju Chaudary, COO, CTO & Member of the Board of CNPV. “We look forward to working closely with ICIM, Euro Test Lab Italy, TUV Germany, UL Groups and other international testing organizations as we continue to enhance our research and development efforts.”
