LIVINGSTON, Scotland - Edinburgh, Scotland based telecoms company, CIQUAL today announced that it has secured funding of GBP1.25M to accelerate product development and sales of its Session Insight System to mobile operators’ worldwide. The investment was financed by a consortium consisting of Par Syndicate and Scottish Enterprise’s Scottish Co-investment Fund.
CIQUAL’s Session Insight System delivers the missing piece in mobile operators’ mobile broadband strategy by delivering the most accurate, real-time, dynamic view of mobile broadband service performance and user experience that enables mobile operators to improve the quality of service offered to their customers. With this unique insight and planned increases to download speeds, coverage and capacity, mobile operators can now deliver a high quality broadband service at home and on-the-move.
Matt Hatton, Principal Analyst at industry research and consultancy firm Analysys Mason said, “Mobile broadband will be the single biggest revenue driver for mobile operators over the next five years. To take advantage of this golden opportunity, mobile operators need to focus on understanding and optimising the user experience.”

Session Insight delivers Key Customer Indicators such as throughput, latency and packet loss that provide the insight necessary for mobile operators’ to truly compete with fixed broadband providers and deliver an holistic customer service that aids customer care, strengthens retention and drives up service revenues.
The Session Insight System operates across all mobile network technologies and was recently used to measure the service performance experienced by users of the first live HPSA+ networks, where speeds up to 21Mbps are regularly achieved.
