- This accreditation demonstrates the CCF’s technical competence and operation of a quality management system as a Product Certification Body.

The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) has accredited the CCF (CDMA Certification Forum) to ISO/IEC Guide 65, an internationally recognized performance standard for third-party certification bodies. A2LA is a nonprofit, non-governmental, public service, membership society that provides comprehensive services in laboratory accreditation and laboratory-related training.

The ISO/IEC Guide 65 accreditation is based on the assessment of performance of a certification body including procedures, staff competence and reporting.

To achieve accreditation, the CCF completed a thorough assessment process demonstrating its competence to provide independent, impartial assessment and certification services.

“The fact that the CCF pursued and achieved the ISO/IEC Guide 65 accreditation demonstrates our commitment to delivering an outstanding certification model by ensuring that it follows industry defined quality standards for certification processes,” says Thom Erickson, President and CEO of the CCF.

Over the years, the CCF has strived to successfully provide the CDMA industry with a certification process that consolidates, into one clear and concise process, all of the minimum performance, interoperability and conformance testing necessary to ensure that all CDMA2000 devices are certified to operate in accordance with their respective global industry standards.

Soon, the CCF will integrate CTIA Certification for CDMA devices into its Global CCF Certification process, as the CCF Certification Market Endorsement. In so doing, CCF continues to develop its processes to provide CDMA Vendors and Operators worldwide with one unique location for all of their CDMA device certification needs.

“Our goal is to offer the CDMA industry a consistent, easy to use certification model that helps them reduce the time and money spent testing devices,” says Paul Hampton, Chairman of the CCF Steering Committee. “The fact that we achieved the ISO/IEC Guide 65 accreditation highlights our commitment to our members and the industry.”
