TAMPA, Florida -
Bongo International, a leading provider of global shipments from the United States to international consumers, is proud to announce the launch of the Bongo Buddy. This plug-in can be downloaded through the Firefox browser and provides estimated shipping costs for items purchased across any U.S. website. Bongo Buddy is the first and only application that scans any web page and instantly provides BOTH the singular and consolidated international shipping costs to any part of the world.
“International consumers can become very frustrated when international shipping costs are not displayed in the shopping cart of a retailer’s checkout process,” says Jennean Morrison, Marketing Manager for Bongo International. “International shoppers are consistently being told that the retailer cannot ship the goods to their country or that they will have to wait for the package to be put together before they can be provided with an accurate shipping quote. We developed Bongo Buddy to help international consumers estimate their international shipping costs before making a purchase.”
When Bongo Buddy is launched, it attempts to match an exact model number or product name displayed on the U.S. website. If it is unable to locate an exact match in Bongo’s database, it will display a general average for that item. For instance, if you are looking at “GUESS? Boot-Cut Jeans” at Macys.com and the Bongo Buddy does not recognize the full description; it will provide a typical weight of “Jeans.” The international visitor can add the “Jeans” to a virtual shopping cart and continue with their browsing. As the consumer adds more and more items to the virtual shopping cart, Bongo Buddy will calculate an estimate for the total consolidated shipping costs to their country if the items are shipped through Bongo’s service.
While you do not need to be a member or customer of BongoUS.com to make use of this tool, Bongo customers are able to benefit from the rate quotes and the Personal Shopping feature. Bongo’s Personal Shopper Service allows the international consumer to make purchases at U.S. retailers that do not accept international credit cards.
The Bongo Buddy can be downloaded from Bongo’s website at https://Buddy.BongoUS.com.
