W.W. Grainger daily sales down 3 pct in October
CHICAGO — Maintenance products manufacturer W.W. Grainger Inc. said Wednesday that sales in October declined 3 percent compared with the same month last year.
Excluding the effects of acquisitions and foreign exchange rates, Grainger’s daily sales for October were down 8 percent. October 2009 also had one less selling day then the year ago month.
Shares of Grainger fell $2.47, or 2.4 percent, to $98.96 in midday trading.
