Toddlers found in gas-soaked home were shot

STEVENS POINT, Wis. — A Wisconsin coroner says two toddlers found dead in their gasoline-soaked home last week were shot in the head and their mother was the victim of a complex homicide.

Portage County Sheriff John Charewicz said Friday that 30-year-old Christine Gollon was moving out of the Nelsonville home where her body and the children’s bodies were found Thursday. He declined to elaborate about how Gollon was killed.

Gollon’s boyfriend, 36-year-old Shane Kettner, has been arrested in the deaths and is scheduled to make an initial appearance in Portage County Circuit Court later Monday. Deputies found Kettner in the home, holding the couple’s infant daughter. Both had been overcome by gas fumes.
