Agriculture futures mostly up, livestock drops

CHICAGO — Agriculture futures were mostly higher early Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery added 2.75 cents to $4.44 a bushel, while December corn gained 4.25 cents to $3.3775 a bushel and November soybeans rose 2 cents to $8.87 a bushel. Oats for December delivery were down 1.5 cents to $2.19 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle dropped 0.40 cent to 82.55 cents a pound; October feeder cattle lost 0.05 cent to 93.50 cents a pound; October lean hogs lost 0.20 cent to 49.05 cents a pound; February pork bellies slid 1.40 cents to 78.25 cents a pound.
