Agriculture futures mixed, pork prices tumble

CHICAGO — Agriculture futures traded mixed Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

September corn shed 1.25 cents to $3.21 a bushel, while September wheat lost 3 cents to $5.175 a bushel. Soybeans for August delivery jumped 12.75 cents to $10.34 a bushel, however, and September oats were unchanged at $1.95.

Meanwhile, beef prices were mixed and pork futures sank on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle added 0.15 cent to 84.85 cents a pound, but August feeder cattle lost 0.20 cent to $1.0220 a pound. August lean hogs sank 1.92 cents to 57.25 cents a pound, and August pork bellies tumbled 1.22 cents to 61 cents a pound.
