August 7th, 2009 PUNE - Two men in Pune are reported to be in critical condition after testing positive for H1N1 influenza and have been put on ventilator support. Doctors attending the two patients said that both of them were critical.

August 5th, 2009 PUNE - Another confirmed case of Swine Flu was reported in Pune on Wednesday after a student of St. Anne's school tested positive for the influenza A (H1N1) virus here at a local hospital.

July 24th, 2009 RAJOURI - Residents in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district are facing acute water crisis due to delay in monsoon. All major sources of water like the rivers, streams and hand pumps have dried up.

July 7th, 2009 Haldwani (Uttarakhand)/CHHATARPUR - Residents in Haldwani in Uttarakhand are facing acute water shortage. Streams are on verge of drying up and water levels in the dams have been depleted severely.

June 29th, 2009 NEW DELHI - Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has given directives to her subordinates to tackle the burgeoning water crisis in the Capital. Speaking to reporters after holding a cabinet meet here today, Dikshit said that the uneven distribution of water is one of the reasons for water crisis is some parts of Delhi.

April 20th, 2009 PUNE - At least 19 people were killed and more than 15 others were injured in a road accident that took place around 40 kilometres off Pune on Monday. Among those killed in the accident, six were women and eight were children.

April 20th, 2009 PUNE - Nineteen people were killed and 15 injured when the truck they were travelling in turned turtle in Maharashtra's Pune district early Monday, police said. The victims were travelling from Kalyan to Sholapur in a truck carrying iron pipes.

March 16th, 2009 LUCKNOW - A double murder in Pune Friday has been solved with the arrest of the prime suspect here Sunday, the Uttar Pradesh police said. The Special Task Force (STF) of the Uttar Pradesh police arrested Kiran Pujari, a Pune resident, from Aliganj area here in the afternoon, on the charge of killing Vidya Ghorpade and her six-year-old son in Pune Friday.
