Dharmender, who was behind the wheels, lost control of his truck which first rammed into the kiosk and then some shanties in the area Wednesday morning, police said.

June 29th, 2009 NEW DELHI - A 35-year-old man was crushed to death by a speeding car here, police said Monday. Mohammed Naseem, a rickshaw puller, was hit by the car from behind while he was returning home Sunday in Sarita Vihar area of south Delhi, a police officer said.

June 15th, 2009 NEW DELHI - A 24-year-old woman and her five-year-old daughter were crushed to death Monday when a speeding truck hit from behind the motorcycle they were riding pillion on, police said. The husband, who was driving the bike, escaped unhurt.

Such was the impact of the accident that the autorickshaws were thrown against a tree, which broke into several pieces.

March 6th, 2009 NEW DELHI - An 11-year-old schoolgirl was crushed to death and three students were injured Thursday when a speeding mini truck hit them in northeast Delhi, the police said. Meena, a Class 4 student, was knocked down while her two sisters Savita and Suman - both students of Class 2 - and one of their friends were seriously injured when they were returning from their state-run school in Gokulpuri area around 1 p.m., the police said.
