NEW DELHI - Two motorcycle riders were crushed to death and another injured when a speeding truck hit them in the national capital Monday night, police said Tuesday.

Madan (29) and Lovely (23) were on their way back home when the truck trailing them hit their motorcycle in South Extension area in south Delhi around 10:30 p.m. Monday, a police official said.

He said the two riders were critically injured and taken to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Another person was injured in the accident and doctors stated he was stable.

The truck driver managed to flee, police said.
