Trina Solar makes $142.5M from selling shares

NEW YORK — Chinese solar manufacturer Trina Solar Ltd. said Monday it made $142.5 million from a sale of 5.18 million American depository shares.

Trina Solar, which is based in Changzhou, China, said the sale includes $18.6 million from 675,000 shares that were sold in addition to its original public offering.

The company makes a variety of products for the solar industry including ingots, wafers, solar cells and modules.
