October 12th, 2009 GHAZIABAD - A truck driver was killed Monday when his vehicle collided with another truck on a flyover in Ghaziabad that was opened for trial run three days ago, officials said. The accident occurred early Monday when a truck going from the city side to Mohan Nagar collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction, police said.

September 14th, 2009 GHAZIABAD - Two armed masked men robbed a cooperative bank of over Rs.1.7 lakh here Monday, police said. The heist occurred Monday in Govindpuri locality under the Modinagar police station of Ghaziabad.

September 11th, 2009 GHAZIABAD - A woman and her son were killed when the roof of their house in Loni area here collapsed in heavy rains early Friday, police said. Rachna and Krish died when the roof of the first floor fell, leading to a collapse of the ceiling of their ground floor room about 3 a.m., police said.

June 20th, 2009 GHAZIABAD - A man suspected of involvement in the Frontier Mail blast in 1997 committed suicide by hanging himself in his prison cell in Ghaziabad, police said Saturday. The death occurred Friday in the Dasna jail in Ghaziabad where Shakeel was lodged after he was convicted by a Delhi court to 10 years' imprisonment in another terror related case in 1998.

June 2nd, 2009 GHAZIABAD - A 20-year-old man allegedly drowned his 13-year-old brother and buried the body in a field in Pilkhuwa town of this Uttar Pradesh district, police said Tuesday. Rahisu, the third of the four sons of Mumtaz, killed his younger brother Shahrukh Monday night.

The industrialist, Raj Bahadur Singh, had pulled out a pistol and brandished it to frighten the owner of the Honda City car that had been hit by his truck in Ghaziabad town on the outskirts of the national capital.
