Islamabad police said it has also received complaints regarding such notice being put at the front window of the Cordon Rouge restaurant, which is situated close to embassies and government buildings in the city's heavily guarded diplomatic enclave.

July 24th, 2009 NEW DELHI - Farmers in the drought-stricken Bihar, an eastern Indian state, have asked their unmarried daughters to embarrass the weather gods into bringing the badly-needed monsoon rains by plowing the fields in the buff. According to witnesses, with a little help from elderly female relatives, the nude girls plowed the fields and after sunset, chanted ancient hymns to invoke the gods, reports the China Daily.

June 4th, 2009 NEW DELHI - Activists of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) on Thursday staged a demonstration outside American fast food outlet Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant in New Delhi against the alleged abusive treatment to birds. The protestors, dressed as chickens, were carrying posters which read, 'boycott KFC'.

After the restaurant's cook reported the sighting of Our Lady of Guadalupe, restaurant manager Brenda Martinez revealed that there have been more than 100 people who have visited the place to have a look at the image.

March 3rd, 2009 NEW DELHI - There was good news Monday for thousands of patrons of Sarvana Bhawan, a popular south Indian eatery in Connaught Place, when the Delhi High Court was informed that its lease deed had been renewed for two years. On a complaint filed by Subhash Chander Gupta, the owner of P-15 premises in Connaught Place, that the lease deed expired in September 2008 and a new one was not negotiated by the owner of the eating joint, the court had on Feb 18 asked the restaurant to close down.

February 14th, 2009 NEW DELHI - A 26-year-old security guard was Sunday found murdered in the kitchen of a restaurant in the heart of the capital, and Rs.250,000 in cash were missing from the place, the police said. Rajesh Thakur, a resident of Patna, was found stabbed to death in the kitchen of The Host in the F block of Connaught Place in the morning.
