MasterCard hires Ajay Banga, Citi Asia Pacific CEO as president, chief operating officer

NEW YORK — MasterCard says its new president and chief operating officer will be Ajay Banga, the former CEO of Citigroup’s Asia Pacific division, beginning Aug. 31.
