SonicWall gets $500,000 government contract

SUNNYVALE, Calif. — Network security technology company SonicWall Inc. received a $500,000 contract by an unspecified government security agency, the company said Wednesday.

The agency will use one of Sonic’s network security appliances as part of their cybersecurity arsenal to detect and block malware from entering the agency’s network.

SonicWall partnered with DLT Solutions Inc., a reseller of industry-leading IT products and services.

Shares of SonicWall fell 9 cents to $7.50 in afternoon trading.
