RJD releases list of 26 candidates in Bihar

September 4th, 2009 CHANDIGARH - The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) released its first list of 42 candidates, for the upcoming Haryana Assembly polls here on Friday. Party president and former Chief Minister Om Parkash Chautala said the list, includes five women candidates.

April 6th, 2009 NEW DELHI - The Congress party Monday announced its second list for Haryana by naming three more candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. Ashok Tanwar, president of the Indian Youth Congress, has been given the party ticket to contest from the Sirsa (SC) constituency in place of sitting MP Atma Singh Gill.

March 27th, 2009 HYDERABAD - Actor-turned politician and chief of Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) Chiranjeevi today released its first list of 95 candidates for the Assembly polls and nine for the Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh. Chiranjeevi, who is currently on a campaign tour in East Godavari district, released the list at Jaggampet.

March 25th, 2009 PATNA - The Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Tuesday announced the names of 12 candidates from Bihar, with party chief Ram Vilas Paswan contesting from his traditional Hajipur seat in the April-May parliamentary elections. The LJP is contesting 12 out of Bihar's 40 Lok Sabha seats, with its ally Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) led by Railways Minister Lalu Prasad contesting the remaining 28.

CPI-ML General Secretary Deepankar Bhattacharjee said the party has fielded over 60 percent of its candidates from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
