Rain expected over weekend in Delhi

Tuesday's rain brought relief to Delhites who had been expecting rains since many days in this monsoon season.

July 18th, 2009 NEW DELHI - The weatherman predicted light rain in the capital Saturday, and sweating Delhiites hoped the met office prediction would not be belied. The maximum temperature recorded was 38.4 degrees Celsius, three notches above average, while the minimum temperature recorded was 28.8 degrees Celsius, two degrees above average, an official at the meteorological department said.
