Pratibha Patil to visit Itanagar on Wednesday

October 1st, 2009 AHMEDABAD - President Pratibha Patil, who is on a five-day visit to Gujarat, will visit Sabarmati Ashram today. Later, she will attend a function at the Sardar Patel Memorial in Shahibaug to inaugurate a new hall.

Addressing a gathering here on Wednesday, President Patil said, "Gandhiji gave the message that our task would not be complete unless we wipe the tears of each and every poor in this country so only when each and every section of the society is able to benefit from the country's development only then we would be able to set up a stable and a secure society." Patil who is on a four-day visit to the state would be visiting Gandhiji's Sabarmati Ashram today.
