September 27th, 2009 BHOPAL - Four suspected Maoists who had allegedly crossed into Madhya Pradesh from Chhattisgarh have been detained in Shahdol district, police said Sunday. The four - Ramnath, Lalsai, Roopsai and Sunao, all of them Gond tribals aged 25-30 - had sneaked in from Narayanpur district in Chhattisgarh, a police official said.

August 17th, 2009 BHOPAL - Two people were burnt alive when their car caught fire after hitting a tree in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh, police said Monday. The car going from Khargone to Khandwa caught fire when it hit a tree in Bhikangaon locality while negotiating a turn.

Police spokesperson Nepal Das said circle inspector Intu Marak and officer-in-charge (OC) of a police station Ratan Muni Debbarma Wednesday physically assaulted 54-year-old constable Buddhiram Debbarma.

December 28th, 2008 LUCKNOW - Three people were arrested in Allahabad district of Uttar Pradesh Monday for smuggling in explosives from Madhya Pradesh. A huge cache of explosives was recovered from them, police said.
