March 2nd, 2009 GHAZIABAD - An Uttar Pradesh village chief died after three motorcycle-borne assailants pumped six bullets into him near Ghaziabad Sunday, the police said. Anurag Tyagi alias Rinku, the village chief of Khurrampur, was riding his bike when he was attacked on the National Highway 58 on his way to the Ghaziabad district headquarters, district police chief Akhil Kumar said.

February 16th, 2009 GHAZIABAD - In a case of road rage, an industrialist was shot dead here Tuesday morning by a man enraged because his car had been hit by a truck owned by the victim's company, police said. The industrialist, Raj Bahadur Singh, had pulled out a pistol and brandished it to frighten the owner of the Honda City car that had been hit by his truck in Ghaziabad town on the outskirts of the national capital.

Brij Raj Meena was taken to the hospital after he accidentally shot himself while cleaning his 9 mm service pistol at about 6.50 p.m.
