September 21st, 2009 CHENNAI - Pakistan must interrogate alleged 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed as all the evidence against him was "on Pakistani soil", Home Minister P. Chidambaram said here Monday after reports that the chief of the banned Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) had been placed under house arrest in Lahore.

September 21st, 2009 LAHORE - Mumbai terror attacks mastermind and chief of the Jamaat-ud-Dawa, Hafiz Saeed, has been placed under house arrest. The Pakistani authorities have also barred him from leading Eid prayers.

September 11th, 2009 ISLAMABAD - An arrest warrant has been issued against Pakistan's former Consul General in Houston (US) on charges of issuing a Pakistani passport to an Indian national. Assistant Consul General Muhammad Naeem, who is under the National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) custody for the last 17 months, told a three member Supreme Court bench that former Pakistani Consul General, Ghulam Rasool, has been asked to appear before the court while issuing an arrest warrant against him.

September 5th, 2009 JAMMU - The Jammu and Kashmir police Saturday released a photograph of Pakistani Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant Abu Jindal, who was killed in a gun battle with the security forces Friday, after speculation that he had taught Hindi to the 26/11 Mumbai attackers. The sole surviving terrorist of the Mumbai attacks, Ajmal Amir Kasab, had told the special court that their Hindi tutor during their training had been the LeT's Abu Jindal.

August 30th, 2009 LUCKNOW - The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of the Uttar Pradesh Police is searching for 21 students of Lucknow University who studied with suspected Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorist Mohammad Aslam alias Salim. Salim, who was arrested in Delhi on Tuesday, studied post graduation degree in Arabic studies Department of Lucknow University from 2003-05.

July 18th, 2009 WARSAW - Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski has said that Pakistani authorities have arrested a man in connection with the murder of geologist, Piotr Stanczak who was abducted and subsequently killed by suspected Taliban insurgents in February this year. "The Pakistani authorities captured a man who is probably one of the murderers, seen on a film of this terrible execution," Sikorski told a private television channel.

June 23rd, 2009 NOIDA - The bodies of two terrorists killed in a gun battle in Noida in the early hours of Jan 26 - Republic Day - were buried Monday night, police said. Police in Noida had preserved the bodies in a mortuary six months while waiting for Pakistani authorities to accept these.
