Over 100 injured in factory blasts in Madhya Pradesh

July 6th, 2009 SINGRAULI - At least eight persons were killed and over 40 injured in blasts in two private explosive manufacturing factories in Madhya Pradesh's Singrauli district. The first blast took place at around 6:30 pm in the Ideal Explosives Industries complex.

May 21st, 2009 LUCKNOW - A 25-year-old man was arrested early Thursday in Uttar Pradesh's Allahabad district for alleged possession of nearly 2,000 detonators and other explosives, police said. 'The suspect was nabbed early Thursday in Allahabad district, from the Shankergarh area that borders Madhya Pradesh,' police inspector Arvind Jaiswal told IANS on phone.

April 18th, 2009 BHOPAL - Eleven people including six women and three children were killed and five were injured after a jeep carrying them collided with a truck in Madhya Pradesh Saturday, police said. The jeep collided with the truck coming from the opposite side on the Ujjain-Agar road, about 225 km from here.

'The arrested terrorist, Saif-ur-Rehman, 22, is suspected to have played a key role in Ahmedabad and Jaipur serial blasts.

The factory was busted and a dozen country-made pistols were seized Thursday night after a raid was conducted on a tip-off in Bhudanpur locality of Azamgarh, about 270 km from here.

'The accident occurred near Sunehra village in Udaipura area (150 km from Raisen district headquarters).
