One criminal nailed in Rohini gunbattle

August 5th, 2009 NEW DELHI - Delhi Police on Wednesday arrested a dreaded criminal following a gun battle from West Delhi. Sandeep Chaitanya, the man wanted in five cases of murders and other crimes in Delhi and adjoining areas, was arrested from the densely populated Rohini area of the city.

April 7th, 2009 RANCHI - Two Maoist rebels were killed in a gunbattle with security personnel in Jharkhand's Gumla district Tuesday, police said. According to police, the gunbattle between security forces and Maoist rebels belonging to the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) took place in Sursang jungle, which comes under the Kamdera police station in Gumla district, some 140 km from Ranchi.
