Flight IT 103, with 80 passengers on board, took off from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Interantional Airport shortly after 9 a.m.

September 15th, 2009 MUMBAI - A Mumbai to Bangalore Kingfisher Airlines flight had to make an emergency landing at Mumbai Airport soon after take-off after its landing gear malfunctioned on Tuesday. Preliminary reports quoting sources said that Kingfisher Flight IT 103, which was carrying 98 passengers headed for Bangalore reported a gear malfunction soon after take off to Air Traffic Control (ATC).

September 4th, 2009 MUMBAI - A major tragedy was avoided at Mumbai Airport on Friday morning when an emergency was declared after one of the engines of an Air India flight caught fire while getting ready to taxi off the runway. Reports said the flight, which was bound for Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh, was immediately grounded when a passenger detected sparks flying out of one of the engines.

August 16th, 2009 NICOSIA - Indian Ambassador to Oman Anil Wadhwa has said that bilateral trade between Oman and India is growing steadily and if the recent trade figures are any indication, "it is set to reach 2.5 billion dollars by the end of 2009". In an interview with Oman Daily Observer on the occasion of India's Independence Day, Wadhwa said that the volume of Indo-Oman bilateral trade was 447 million dollars during January-February 2009 against 398.7 million dollars in the same period last year.

July 29th, 2009 MUMBAI - Private carrier Jet Airways will launch flight from Mumbai to Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh from Aug 6, the airline said Wednesday. The airline will launch four services a week on the Mumbai-Riyadh sector - on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, Jet said in a statement.
