Ohio city hands out tickets for free Leno show

WILMINGTON, Ohio — Western Ohio residents hoping laughter is the best medicine for down times will have two chances to seek treatment from funnyman Jay Leno when he visits in May.

A representative of the production company distributing tickets for a free show in Wilmington says all 4,000 tickets have been handed out and the comedian has scheduled a second performance.

Leno will perform his “Comedy Stimulus” show May 10 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Roberts Centre.

Production company spokeswoman Suzy Kappaz says 4,000 tickets for the later show will be available at the center beginning Tuesday.

The area has been rocked by thousands of layoffs at a nearby airport. Residents who sought tickets say they hope Leno will help boost local morale.
