INDORE - At least nine people were killed and four injured in a road accident near Indore in Madhya Pradesh late Tuesday evening, police said.

‘The accident took place around 8.30 p.m. when a jeep rammed into a truck. The injured passengers were immediately rushed to a private hospital where nine were declared dead. Four passengers are critically injured and undergoing treatment,’ said Saanver Police Station in-charge G.P. Golia.

Those killed were yet to be unidentified but they seemed to have come to Indore from Mumbai on a private visit, he said.
